Effect of adding alumina on the hardness and wear resistance of Mg-Al Alloy

Magnesium-Aluminum alloys considered specially Mg-6Al very important in engineering applications, but this have weakly wear resistance and low hardness, therefore, addition some materials such as (Al2O3) at (3%-4%-5%) weight percentage to improve the hardness resistance. In present research was prepare a master alloy then recast after adding under argon gas electrical furnace, study effect of on alloy.
